Welcome to your Cornell Emergency Medicine rotation!

Before your first shift

Schedule requests are due 10 weeks prior to the start of a block.
Call/text the campus scheduling chiefs to discuss all last minute requests.

  • -Da = 7:30a-7:30p in Area A (Red)
    -Dc = 7:30a-7:30p in Area C (Green)
    -U = 8a-7:30p in Area D (Gold)
    -Ma = 10a-10p in Area A (Red)
    -Mc = 10a-10p in Area C (Green)
    -Na = 7:30p-7:30a in Area A (Red)
    -Nc = 7:30p-7:30a in Area C (Green)

    MORNING REPORT: Mo/Tu/Th/Fr 9am-10am in Resident Room (unless SIM)
    RESIDENT CONFERENCE: Wed 8am-12pm, arrive on shift at 1pm

  • If you are not feeling well enough to come to work or have personal circumstances that require you to call out, you MUST call the chief-on-call to report your absence at 917-410-1056. In addition, you must also email your own chiefs and cc: nypemchiefs@gmail.com.

    We want to prioritize your physical and mental wellbeing, but please use sick call judiciously as calling out requires us to pull a resident from another educational experience to cover your shift.

Schedule requests are due 10 weeks prior to the start of a block via the Schedule Request Google form (above). Any requests made after that must be discussed directly with Barbara.

For any sick callouts, you must CALL the EM Chief Phone (917-410-1056).

In addition to calling you must also email your own chiefs and cc: nypemchiefs@gmail.com.
